About the role
The purposes of this role are to deliver senior level persistent pain management physiotherapy services as part of the Tess Cramond Pain and Research Centre (TCPRC) multidisciplinary team, including
For Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community members (Persistent Pain Service for Mob) based at The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health (IUIH), Moreton Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service (MATSICHS) in Caboolture. N.B. this includes one day per week on-site at the Caboolture MATSICHS (currently Fridays).
- For multidisciplinary case conferences between the TCPRC and the Primary Health Network's (PHN) private service providers, for Category 3 patients with lower acuity conditions that have transferred from from the TCPRC to the PHN's service providers (currently alternate Wednesdays at the TCPRC).
- Provide high level musculoskeletal & pain physiotherapy services within the TCPRC.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Independently deliver high level physiotherapy clinical services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people referred to the TCPRC who attend the Persistent Pain Service for Mob at Caboolture MASTICHS.
- Utilise high level independent judgement and evidence-based practice to provide optimal outcomes in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
- Provide high level clinical advice to supervisors, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding professional clinical standards, workforce issues and clinical service development to enhance teamwork and clinical outcomes within the TCPRC, the MATSICHS Persistent Pain Service for Mob team and the PHN Program.
- Contribute to the day-to-day management of a small work unit or team within the TCPRC and physiotherapy department - including provision of support for junior physiotherapy staff / students as required.
- Contribute to the planning, development and review of work practices and systems within the TCPRC through active representation as required at service management meetings. Take an active role in monitoring and reporting of operational or organisational issues, clinical practices, and outcomes within the work unit.
