About the role
Temporary Part time opportunity to deliver high level audiology services for adults across a variety of clinical services and programs in a predominantly outpatient clinical setting.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- As the sole audiologist at Redcliffe Hospital, deliver high level Audiological clinical services with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision, including diagnostic assessment, case management, record keeping and reporting in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
- Independently apply professional judgement and problem solving to a complex adult caseload and demonstrate the ability to adapt routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
- Independently carry out cochlear implant assessments and case management for complex adult patients, under the governance of the Implantable Device Manager and cochlear implant program at RBWH
- Initiate and lead clinical governance activities, such as the development and review of clinical practice guidelines and resources, that support the continuum of care and engaging cross-discipline and facility participation where relevant.
