About the role
Provide efficient and effective Patient Support Services within Redcliffe Hospital campus. To regularly perform routine & periodic cleaning duties in accordance with the Department of Health (DoH) Environmental Cleaning Guidelines in line with Redcliffe Hospital procedures, guidelines and duty statements. To perform duties associated with a non-clinical support to clinical staff such as patient handling techniques and patient transportation. To provide waste and linen services as per Redcliffe Hospital procedures, guidelines and duty statements. Rotational shifts e.g. (day, evening & night), 7-day roster including weekends and public holidays may apply depending on shift and area rostered.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Comply with and utilise procedures, policies, regulations, standards and duty statements which impact upon the position, including contemporary Human Resource Management Requirements and Practices, Workplace Health and Safety, Code of Conduct, Equal Employment Opportunity and Health Equity and Racism.
- Assist clinical staff in the positioning of patients utilising appropriate Patient Handling Techniques and undertaking the tasks under the direction and supervision of a clinical staff member such as lifting, turning and mobilising patients.
- Manager Facility and Support Services to assist in the delivery of safe, efficient care for patients and visitors.
- Transport medical and other equipment throughout the facility utilising appropriate equipment and manual handling techniques.
