About us:
The Pharmacy Department at the Rockhampton Hospital manages all medications across the Hospital, including the preparation and supply of all inpatient medication on the wards, and prescription and dispensary services for patients visiting the Hospital.
About the role:
The Senior Pharmacist position will provide a comprehensive clinical Pharmacy service, working primarily in the Oncology and Palliative care fields. The candidate will be required to work across multiple work areas including Inpatient wards, Outpatient clinics, Day Therapy Unit and the Pharmacy department or facilities within the CQHHS.
The candidate will also be expected to contribute to the development of guidelines and procedures and participate/lead quality improvement projects to enhance delivery of Pharmacy service within the CQHHS.
About you:
- The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in pharm
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Pharmacist in Australia (or eligible for registration in Australia).
- Demonstrated high level of knowledge, expertise, and skill in Clinical Pharmacy in the specialist areas of Oncology and Palliative care, as well as general Clinical Pharmacy.
- Demonstrated ability to provide Clinical Pharmacy services of a complex nature, where established principles, procedures and methods require some expansion, adaptation, or modification.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $7,867.96 p.m. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $64.64 - $69.55 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
