About us:

Rockhampton Hospital is a 305-bed facility and the main referral centre for Central Queensland, offering integrated cancer care in a new, state-of-the-art building. It supports regional hospitals in Gladstone, Emerald, Yeppoon, and Biloela, along with smaller rural units that transfer patients for specialist care. The hospital plays a key role in medical education, hosting University of Queensland medical students and partnering with Central Queensland University for nursing and health studies. A strong focus is placed on developing a local medical workforce, with an active Medical Education Unit and registrar training program.

About the role:

The Medical Administration Registrar reports directly to the Director of Medical Services, Rockhampton Hospital.  The Medical Administration Registrar is a rotational position with rotations across all of Central Queensland, based in Rockhampton. This position is expected to develop their skills in medical management, including an understanding of strategic and operational management in the planning, and delivery and management of state-wide medical education programs. The Medical Administration Registrar position is a RACMA accredited training position.

About you:

  • MBBS and hold general registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia, Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Must be a current registered trainee with the Royal Australian College of Medical Administration.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in the Australian healthcare system.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of between $149,091 - $172,382 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A salary rate between $129,583 - $150,240 p.a. (L4-L9)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
