About us:

Clinical Measurement Department provides Respiratory and Neurophysiological diagnostic testing. The primary goal is to ensure people achieve good quality diagnostic testing to assist referring doctors in the appropriate diagnosis, treatment and management of their condition. Central Queensland (CQ) Health offers a comprehensive diagnostic service to patients through their acute hospital admission, recovery following discharge or when accessing other specialist outpatient services. Our clinical physiologists work in hospital and community facilities across Capricorn Coast and Rockhampton regions.

About the role:

Deliver base level Respiratory and Neurological Investigations services across a broad range of clinical areas (which may include EEG, Sleep Deprived EEG, Peripheral Nerve Conduction studies, Oximeter Monitoring, Respiratory Function testing (Spirometry +/- bronchodilator, Transfer Factor, Lung Volumes (Plethysmography and N2 Washout), 6 Minute Walk test, Bronchial Challenge testing, High Altitude Simulation Test, MIPs and MEPs, SNIP, and Inhaled Antibiotic Challenge testing) within a multidisciplinary team in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.

About you:

  • The successful applicant must hold a tertiary degree qualification in science (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline with a strong component of human anatomy and physiology.
  • While not mandatory, a post graduate diploma/certificate in Neurology or Respiratory is highly desirable.
    • Professional accreditation/certification will be regarded as highly desirable i.e. CRFS (Respiratory), Eligibility or registration with the ACCP (Australian Council for Clinical Physiologists)

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $157,359 is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $64.64 - $69.55 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
