About us:
The Intensive Care Unit offers a high standard of intensive care including complex multi-system life support. Rockhampton ICU offers mechanical ventilation, renal replacement therapy and invasive haemodynamic monitoring for extended periods of time as required by clinical need. Transfer of adult patients from the unit is due to the need for sub-specialist services not available at this facility.
About the role:
The purpose of this role is to:
- Provide operational and strategic management including the planning, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of the activities of health information services including the departments clinical information systems and associated technologies.
- Provides expert professional advice to the department on matters relating to clinical information systems and data management.
About you:
- Registration as a nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and a current annual practising certificate is mandatory for this position.
- While not mandatory, possession of appropriate tertiary qualifications in Clinical Data management and/or Clinical Information Systems Management and/or Clinical Documentation Improvement and Intensive care would be highly regarded. However, it is acknowledged that enhanced work performance can result from other learning experiences.
- Experience in clinical information management systems and clinical data management is considered highly desirable.
- Knowledge on the management of the patient within a critical care environment is highly desirable.
- Understanding and experience with ICU data submissions to Australian Council for Healthcare Standards (ACHS) and Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Society (ANZICS) is highly desirable.
- Certified Health Informatician (CHIA) credentialling will be highly regarded.
- Whilst not mandatory, knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), Microsoft Reporting Services, REDCap and Application Lifecycle Management Software (ALM) would be highly regarded.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $82,105 is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $66.85 - $72.58 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
