About us:

This position provides services to all CQ Health sites and services including Rockhampton, Gladstone, Emerald, Biloela, Capricorn Coast and Moura Hospitals, Mount Morgan, Baralaba, Theodore, Blackwater and Springsure Multipurpose Health Services, North Rockhampton Nursing Centre, Eventide and Rockhampton Mental Health Service. 

About the role:

The Director of Physician Education (DPE) is responsible for ensuring high-quality physician training across CQHHS, supporting the professional development of trainees and maintaining alignment with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) standards. The DPE will oversee the physician training program, support trainee success in examinations, and foster a culture of excellence in medical education and clinical care.

About you:

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
    • Specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
    • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), with a minimum of two years post-Fellowship experience.
    • Experience as an examiner or in teaching/mentoring trainees is highly regarded.
    • Enrolment and maintenance of an ongoing Continuing Medical Education (CME) program.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $105,686 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A salary rate between $50,305 - $53,335 p.a. (L25-L27)
  • A salary rate between $42,066 - $48,863 p.a. (L18-L24)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
