About us:
The Central Queensland Specialist Palliative Care in Aged Care (CQ SPACE) project aims to improve access to specialist palliative and end-of-life care for residents of aged care facilities within the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service. It focuses on delivering care in residents' preferred settings and reducing unnecessary hospitalisations. Supported by the Australian Government's Better Quality of Care initiative, CQ SPACE complements existing generalist palliative care provided by RAC staff and GPs by offering additional support to enhance resident care. The project ensures that care governance remains with current providers, prioritising seamless, person-centered end-of-life care for residents across public and private RACs and Multi-purpose Health Services in the region.
About the role:
The Nurse Practitioner is a Registered Nurse appointed to the position with endorsements to practice as a Nurse Practitioner. The Nurse Practitioner works within current Commonwealth, State and District regulations in relation to expanded authorities in the RAC setting.
About you:
- Minimum of five years post graduate experience as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position.
- Minimum experience in palliative care/aged care spanning minimum 2 years is required.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $88,898 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $75.27 - $78.59 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
