About us:

HITH provides care in the community setting, for acute conditions requiring clinical governance, monitoring/input that would otherwise require treatment in the traditional inpatient hospital bed. The admission criteria are governed by the Queensland Health Admission Policy and as such the HITH program is focused exclusively on acute admitted care substitution.

About the role:

The unit supports the hospital activity through integrated and contemporary models of care for sub-acute, non-acute, hospital avoidance, hospital substitution, pre and post discharge/transition planning services for clients with chronic, rehabilitative and ageing related care health needs.

The services are aimed at assessing and managing complex disease and conditions that have the potential for functional gain, to maximise independence and improve quality of life. Public Health Services are provided from the division using a mix of population based preventative strategies and direct service delivery and the specialist service areas.

About you:

  • MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate.
  • While not mandatory, registration or eligibility for registration in General Practice (FRACGP or FACRRM) is highly desirable.
  • Advanced Life Support competency current or attained on employment.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $229,281 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between$87.25 - $89.98 p.h. (L13-L14)
  • An hourly rate between $87.25 - $100.78 p.h. (L13-L18)
  • An hourly rate between $100.78 - $120.51 p.h. (L18-L25)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
