This is a fixed-term, full-time parental leave opportunity based in Brisbane's CBD with generous flexible work arrangements.

The Manager Communication and Education leads the strategic direction of the RTA's communication and content, media relations, social media and digital and design functions. Reporting to the Chief People and Impact Officer, you will lead a multidisciplinary team and help shape how the RTA communicates, educates and engages with its customers and stakeholders to deliver service excellence, strengthen sector confidence and support our vision of renting that works.

You will provide trusted advice to senior leaders on communication, media, reputation and emerging issues, while leading the delivery of enterprise communication strategies and initiatives that support organisational priorities, service excellence and customer outcomes.

Working across a diverse portfolio, you will drive continuous improvement for RTA content and channels through customer, sector and operational insights and contemporary communication practices. You will also build team capability, foster a high-performance culture and support the RTA's commitment to innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.

This is an opportunity for an experienced strategic communication leader to make a meaningful contribution to Queensland's rental sector while developing people, influencing organisational outcomes and delivering work with real community impact.

To be successful you will need:

  • Significant experience leading integrated communication, media, content, digital and/or engagement functions.
  • Demonstrated success developing and delivering enterprise communication strategies and initiatives that support organisational priorities and customer outcomes.
  • Strong experience providing strategic advice to senior leaders on communication, media, reputation and emerging issues and risks.
  • A proven ability to lead and develop high-performing, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong understanding of strategic communication and engagement, media relations, customer insights and performance measurement.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong judgement and attention to detail.
  • Strong relationship building, influencing and business partnering skills.
  • Experience working in government, regulatory or other complex customer-focused environments will be highly regarded.
