In this position, you will provide consultant level clinical expertise for the provision of ongoing development of clinical practice and patient care through quality education, training, professional development and research programs, within the field of Radiation Oncology Medical Physics.

Key accountabilities:

The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge, skill, and experience of current Medical Physicist practice, including: 

  • Extensive knowledge in the specialist field of Radiation Oncology Medical Physics to a standard recognised at State Regulatory Authority and National level, including legislation, licensing, and registration requirements.
  • Ability to communicate complex scientific and technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • A clinical leader with an expert level understanding who provides authoritative medical physics knowledge and is professionally responsible for ROMP's undergoing training to obtain ACPSEM accreditation through either the TEAP or other experienced candidate pathways as defined by the relevant ACPSEM registration policy documents.

Remuneration value up to $243 958 p.a., comprising salary between $150 804 - $156 103 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%,  including $63 610  - $65 850 p.a. Medical Physicist Attraction and Retention Incentive payment and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP6). Applications will remain current for 12 months. Please note: only applications from candidates will be accepted (applications that may result in an agency fee will not be considered). 

Applicants should be aware that the advertised position is a statewide position within Queensland.  Consideration will be given to candidates wishing to align themselves with a Queensland Health Radiation Oncology Medical Physics department other than SCHHS due to the location of their normal place of residence.
