An exciting opportunity exists for a Social Worker Advanced to provide leadership within the Women's and Children's Social Work team and wider multidisciplinary service, with key areas being within the hospital setting including antenatal support, neonatal care (including neonatal nursery), acute paediatric inpatients and a range of specialist outpatient clinics.

Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provide high-level clinical support and advice to staff within the multidisciplinary team (MDT) with the management and problem solving regarding clinically complex patients.
  • Possess advanced clinical leadership abilities and facilitate the integration of services across specialties within a clinical area to coordinate the delivery of effective Social Work services across the SCHHS.
  • Provide high-level clinical advice within area of expertise to clinicians, professional and operational teams, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding professional standards, service initiatives, service needs and clinical service development.
  • Collaborate at a work unit/service area level and/or across disciplines to ensure effective service delivery and quality outcomes applying conflict resolution skills where necessary.

Remuneration value up to $69 046 p.a., comprising salary rates $73.12 - $76.30 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP5) (part time position, 30.4 hrs p.f.).
