An exciting opportunity for Occupational Therapist or Speech Pathologist or Physiotherapist or Psychologist or Social Worker - Senior (Allied Health Practitioner - Clinical Intake) to be a highly functioning multidisciplinary team member, deliver high level allied health services and leadership across one or more specific work units, to stakeholders/customers of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service and Queensland Health. The clinical intake officer role will support the Child Development Service, School Aged Development and Behaviour Clinic, and the Child and Adolescent Clinic through a single-entry intake model of care.

Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrate high-level knowledge of contemporary evidence-based practice in the areas of child and adolescent health, development, behaviour, and disability. Including a high level of complex problem solving and clinical expertise across the breadth of developmental and behavioural presentations, with an ability to provide advice and on-referral to intervention supports, and community services.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative interdisciplinary team structure, which may include clinical triage and telephone based initial assessment as required.
  • Provide high level clinical advice, education and influence towards a common patient-centred vision and direction to professional operational teams and relevant stakeholders regarding service delivery.
  • Provide leadership oversight and clinical practice supervision to less experienced allied health practitioners and students as delegated.

Remuneration value up to $125,887 p.a., comprising of salary rates:  $64.64 - $69.55 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%). (HP4) (Part time position, 60.8 hrs p.f.) Applications will remain current for 12 months.
