A unique opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse within the Specialist Palliative Care Consult Liaison Unit located at Caloundra Hospital. The Clinical Nurse is expected to be able to practice autonomously and provide leadership in clinical decision making. The SPCS provides care for patients in all five phases of palliative care, describing the distinct stage in a patient’s journey. The inpatient unit is called Dove Palliative Care Unit (Dove PCU) and the community arm the Consult Liaison (CL) service, providing hospital in reach, outpatient clinics, home visiting including to residential aged care facilities, telehealth, and education provision.

A unique opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse within the Specialist Palliative Care Consult Liaison Unit located at Caloundra Hospital. The Clinical Nurse is expected to be able to practice autonomously and provide leadership in clinical decision making.
Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
- Implement and monitor the organisation's quality standards, occupational health and safety policies, procedures and programs and provide clinical governance in the relevant work area.
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Public Service Values.
Remuneration value up to $111 073 p.a., comprising salary rates $54.44 - $58.30 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 (1)) (part time position, 64 hrs p.f.).
