An opportunity exists for a Service Manager - Preventative Health Pathways (A&TSI Identified position) of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Directorate to provide high level leadership and management to support the delivery, co-ordination, development, and monitoring of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Service. In collaboration with the Manager and the Senior Director this position will also contribute to strategic planning for the service.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld), it is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent.
Key responsibilities include:
- Demonstrate a high-level understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander inequities, and health issues to deliver informed, evidence based culturally appropriate care including knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, policies, and procedures
- Provide high level leadership and management to support the delivery, co-ordination, development, and monitoring of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health equity strategy, workforce action plan and other strategies and services related to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health.
- In collaboration with the Manager A&TSI and Senior Director manage the financial resources of the service including the development of budgets and ongoing monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
- Undertake performance appraisal of non-clinical and clinical staff with support from professional leads.
Remuneration value up to $148 323 p.a., comprising salary between $121 360 - $129 998 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO6).
