This position is being offered on an initial temporary basis from 17 April 2023 until the end of the year. Queensland Academy for Health Sciences (QAHS) offers highly capable students in Years 10 to 12 the opportunity to study the world-class International Baccalaureate Program in state-of-the-art facilities located at Southport as the only school located in the prestigious Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct. An opportunity now exists for a highly motivated Computer Science and Mathematics Teacher to join our community of data-informed, evidence-based educators in 2023. This opportunity will commence in Term 2 2023 until the end of the school year, however holds the possibility of extension for the right applicant.


You will have enthusiasm, zest and a willingness to engage students of Computer Science and Mathematics in a committed, creative and positive way to promote optimal student outcomes. You will have sound knowledge of Computer Science (including Java) and Senior Mathematics. Ideally you will also be energized by engaging with all students of QAHS in a range of extra-curricular activities to promote wellbeing, connection and global perspective.

Applicants with knowledge, training and experience in the International Baccalaureate Program will be highly regarded, however not essential as dedicated collegial support will be offered to the successful candidate.   • Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland. Pre-service/graduate teachers must have been granted provisional registration prior to commencing employment as a teacher. For more information regarding registration requirements, please CLICK HERE.
  • Employment for pre-service/graduate teachers will be subject to the successful completion of a relevant teaching qualification and meeting the minimum requirements as a teacher with the department.
