About the Role
As the Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities, you will play a vital role in maintaining the school's grounds and facilities to a high standard. Reporting directly to the Principal, Business Manager, or nominated delegate, you will perform a variety of tasks to support the efficient operation of the college.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing day-to-day activities such as delivering mail, preparing classrooms, and managing school supplies.
- Supporting security duties, including locking and unlocking buildings and maintaining security systems.
- Undertaking grounds maintenance, including mowing, gardening, and waste collection.
- Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and maintaining tools and equipment.
- Communicating with internal and external stakeholders regarding maintenance and facilities-related matters.
This role would suit someone who enjoys hands-on work, has a keen eye for detail, and takes pride in creating a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.
About You

- Experience in grounds maintenance or facilities management.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow set instructions.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Progressional roles show a salary range spanning two classifications. Appointment will be made at the level appropriate to skill and fulfilment of required criteria.
