Who We Are:

Coomera State Special School is seeking two dynamic and relational leaders to join our leadership team as Acting Heads of Department - Curriculum. These positions provide an exciting opportunity to lead curriculum improvement across a rapidly growing Prep to Year 12 special school that is recognised for its innovative practice, strong culture and unwavering commitment to student success.

We are looking for leaders who are strategic thinkers, strong relationship builders and passionate advocates for students with disability.

Experience leading curriculum implementation, supporting teacher development and driving school improvement initiatives will be highly regarded.

As a member of our leadership team, you will work alongside highly skilled educators to:

  • Lead curriculum implementation and improvement across a P-12 special school setting.
  • Build teacher capability through coaching, collaborative planning and feedback.
  • Drive evidence-informed practice through data literacy and analysis.
  • Support the implementation of our signature pedagogies: Comprehensive Literacy, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL).
  • Contribute to a culture of high expectations, innovation and continuous improvement.
