Support the smooth operation of our school through high-quality administration and financial services.

We are seeking an organised and proactive Administration Officer to provide corporate, financial and operational support to our school. Working closely with the Principal and Business Manager, you will play a key role in delivering efficient administrative and finance functions while contributing to a positive and professional learning environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the effective operation of our school in a varied and rewarding role. You'll work within a supportive team environment where your skills and initiative will help deliver quality services to students, staff and the wider school community.

This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.80FTE), 58 hours per fortnight.

About the Role:

  • As the Administration Officer, you may undertake work across a broad range of corporate service activities, including human resource (HR), financial and facilities, and/or undertake a narrow range of duties relating to a specific corporate services function.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities for the efficient and effective provision of corporate services to support school operations.

This role has a primary focus on delivering financial administration services while supporting the efficient operation of the school's administrative functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the school's day-to-day financial administration and accounting functions.
  • Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoices, purchase orders and corporate card transactions.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, Business Activity Statements (BAS) and financial reporting.
  • Assist with budgeting, financial analysis and resource management.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, registers and asset databases.
  • Provide financial advice and support to staff on purchasing, GST and financial procedures.
  • Administer the Student Resource Scheme, payment plans and Centrepay.
  • Coordinate stocktakes and support asset and facilities management.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies, legislation and financial procedures.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations.
