About us:
Merrimac State High School is a coeducational secondary school on the Gold Coast, supporting students across Years 7-12.
With a strong focus on respect, responsibility and reliability, the school offers diverse academic, vocational and extracurricular opportunities across its extensive 10.4-hectare campus.
Your opportunity:
- Manage the day-to-day running of the school canteen, including food preparation, counter service and coordinating staff and volunteers.
- Monitor stock levels, arrange supplier orders and undertake regular stocktakes, ensuring accurate records are maintained for purchasing and catering activities.
- Build effective relationships with suppliers and support the delivery of quality customer service and approved marketing activities.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety across the canteen, including the safe use and upkeep of equipment.
- Supervise and support canteen staff and volunteers, including providing training, preparing weekly rosters, maintaining workplace procedures and managing daily cash handling and reconciliation.
