As Program Assistant, you'll provide essential administrative support to the Schools Engagement team and serve as the first point of contact for teachers and schools engaging with State Library's education programs.

You will manage bookings and enquires, support onsite school visits, maintain calendars, and ensure program information is kept up to date across key platforms including State Library's website, intranet, and social media channels.

This role also contributes to broader administrative functions across the Information Services branch, including meeting coordination and secretariat support.

If you enjoy working with people and are confident handling a range of administrative tasks, we'd like to hear from you. As Program Assistant, you'll work closely with the Coordinator, Schools Engagement and a small team to support the delivery of State Library of Queensland's programs to schools across the state. You are the first point of contact for teachers and school staff—playing a key role in managing enquiries, welcoming school groups onsite, and ensuring a positive experience with State Library's education programs and resources.

This role provides day-to-day administrative support to the Schools Engagement team. Tasks include managing booking requests, maintaining calendars, preparing schedules, and coordinating logistics for school programs and events. Your responsibilities will include processing orders and payments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring program information is kept up to date across key platforms, including State Library's website, intranet, SharePoint and social media channels.This role also contributes to the general administrative functions across the Information Services branch, including meeting room bookings and secretariat duties.
