Key responsibilities include delivering online workshops as part of our 'Live at the Library' program, developing education resources for State Library's 'Curriculum Connect' portal, and supporting schools to access State Library's collections and services.

We are looking for someone with strong digital skills, education program or curriculum design experience, and the confidence to collaborate with stakeholders.

If you are excited about sparking curiosity and expanding student research skills through engaging workshops, building teacher capability, and fostering critical thinking and information literacy by connecting them with State Library's vast collections and online resources we would love to hear from you.

As Program Officer, you will work closely with the Coordinator, Schools Engagement and a small team to deliver State Library of Queensland's online programs for schools across Queensland. You will play a key role in connecting schools with State Library's collections and resources by creating engaging online learning experiences for students and teachers that are aligned to the Australian Curriculum.

Key responsibilities include delivering online workshops as part of State Library's ‘Live at the Library' program, developing education resources for the Curriculum Connect portal that link State Library content to classroom curriculum, and supporting schools to access Library services.

An ability to quickly build relationships and work effectively across teams is essential. You will use your strong communication skills to build connections with the education sector to strengthen and promote State Library's programs and resources for schools.

Experience in teaching or program delivery in the GLAM (Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums) sector is highly regarded. A current Blue Card (or eligibility for an exemption if you're a registered teacher) is required.
