About the role
- The Senior Staff/Staff Specialist will function as a member of the surgical team providing high quality health care in the area of Ear, Nose Throat to the Surgical, Treatment and Rehabilitation Services (STARS).
- To provide clinical leadership and governance and promote a positive culture and collaboration.
- To assist with the training of registrars, involvement in supervision of Junior Medical Staff and participate in research is encouraged.
- There is a requirement to provide overtime as clinically required.
- A medical degree from an Australian university or other qualification from a tertiary institution acceptable to the Medical Board of Australia for registration as a medical practitioner.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in Ear, Nose Throat Surgery or equivalent registrable with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Candidates who have completed all college assessment tasks and just need to complete time in training requirements will be considered for this position.
- Applicants eligible for RACS Provisional Fellowship or who have had the overseas specialist qualifications comparably assessed and are substantially progressed to Fellowship are encouraged and will be highly considered. Certified copies of the required documentation must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
- The successful applicant must have Scope of Clinical Practice (SoCP) awarded by a Metro North Hospital and Health Service Credentialing and SoCP committee prior to commencement.
