The Public Health Medical Officer (PHMO) works in partnership with the Operations Manager to provide strategic leadership and direction for the Public Health service portfolios.   The portfolios within the Public Health service include: Communicable Disease Control, Tuberculosis, Sexual Health, Immunisation coordination, Rhematic Heart Disease, cancer prevention (breast and cervical), surveillance programs, environment health, outbreak response and health promotion.

As a Public Health Medical Officer working in Torres and Cape HHS, your expertise, skills and dedication play a crucial role in providing quality care and ensuring positive outcomes for patients across the Torres and Cape.

  • Base salary comprising between $395,332- $494,351 p.a
