Surgical Service Group, Townsville University Hospital
The Registrar or Principal House Officer (Neurosurgery) provides high quality clinical care to patients of the Neurosurgery Department for the North Queensland region based at Townsville University Hospital. The position also provides supervision of junior medical staff including inpatient care and there is some responsibility for providing teaching to junior medical staff, medical students and allied health staff.
The Townsville Hospital and Health Service is the largest tertiary health service in northern Australia; we are responsible for the delivery of healthcare services, education and research within a region covering over 149,500km with a population of approximately 250,000 people.
