About the opportunity:

Position: Occupational Therapist - Senior (Brain Injury Service)

Vacancy: Permanent full-time

Location: Brain Injury Service, Townsville Rehabilitation Unit, Townsville University Hospital 

  • The role is responsible for the provision of high-level clinical services for patients post brain injury and will provide specialised occupational therapy services including initiating and leading service improvement, research, and quality activities. The role is part of multi-disciplinary team providing patient centred care in line with the organisational values and strategic directions.
  • Working in a tertiary teaching hospital with links to James Cook University, you will have access to academic resources and potential research collaborations, further enhancing your professional growth and development.

  • Salary range: $4912.70 to $5286.40 p.f. (HP4)
  • 4 weeks annual leave with 7.5% loading

Requirements:

  • The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Occupational Therapy, and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). 
  • This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.  Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty.
  • Roster: This position may be required to participate in the 6-day Rehabilitation service on a rostered basis. 
  • This is a VPD risk role
