We operate 21 facilities from primary care in regional locations to highly specialised care at the main hospital.

Ingham Health Service, provides an integrated service encompassing a range of community-based services, provision of Allied Health services and traditional hospital-based services of an Inpatient Ward, an Emergency Department, a limited range of surgical procedures and a range of support services including X-ray, Pharmacy, Administration and Operational Services.

About the opportunity:

Position: Assistant In Nursing

Vacancy: Casual (4 positions available)

Location: Ingham Health Service

As an AIN, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses. Your responsibilities will include performing service activities and direct patient care under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse. While you will work closely with our nursing team, you will also retain accountability for your personal actions in fulfilling your role.

Enjoy a casual rate of: $41.50 to $45.44 p.h. (Nurse Grade 1 Band 1)

Requirements:

      • Highly Desirable: Applicants who meet one of the following criteria are considered highly desirable:
        • Hold a relevant Certificate III in Aged Care, Health Service Assistant or equivalent, or
        • Successful completion of the first semester full-time equivalent Diploma of Nursing course including all theoretical and clinical competencies, or
        • Successful completion of the first year full-time equivalent undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing course including all theoretical and clinical competencies.
      • Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster.
      • On call: Appointees may be required to participate in an on-call roster.
      • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
      • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
