The Oral Health Therapist - Senior delivers high quality Oral Health Therapy services within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service, at fixed and mobile dental clinics to eligible clients, as an active member of a multidisciplinary team.

This position promotes oral health at an individual, community, and population level within the THHS.

Position: Oral Health Therapist - Senior

Vacancy: Permanent full-time

Location: Townsville Oral Health Services, Kirwan Health Campus

The Oral Health Therapist - Senior delivers high quality Oral Health Therapy services within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service, at fixed and mobile dental clinics to eligible clients, as an active member of a multidisciplinary team.  This position promotes oral health at an individual, community and population level within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service.

The Oral Health Therapist - Senior provides leadership in the provision of evidence based dental and oral health therapy practice and education, and support students and less experienced oral health practitioners.  This role will facilitate the development and implementation of health promotion and quality improvement activities within the School Dental Service.

  • Salary range: $4912.70 to $5286.40  p.f. (HP4)
  • 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading

Requirements:

  • This position requires the incumbent to possess a minimum Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy or relevant equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • Registration as a Dental Practitioner (Oral Health Therapist) with the Australian Dental Board is required.
  • Appointment to this position requires possession of an appropriate Use License issued under the Queensland Radiation Safety Act 1999.
  • Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty.
  • This is a VPD risk role and the successful applicant will need to meet the necessary mandatory requiements.
