What on offer?
Permanent Part-time, 40 hours per fortnight.
(Please note, this role can be combined with a 0.5 FTE Staff Specialist MHSG Townsville position, creating a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE, 80 hours per fortnight)

Pro rata remuneration package based on full-time equivalent value of up to $536,916 p.a.

  • Base salary range: $100.78-$127.77 p.h. (L18-L27)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

About your opportunity

  • Be responsible for the provision of a high-quality Training Programme in North and Far North Queensland and is responsible for ensuring that Trainee Psychiatrists receive training that complies with Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) Training and Assessment Regulations.
  • In conjunction with the Director of Training and other Directors of Training in Queensland provide quality training experiences for Queensland psychiatry trainees.
  • Provide oversight and coordination of the Overseas Trained Specialists (OTS)– Psychiatry pathways, to assist candidates to complete their Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.

Requirements:

  • Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration.
  • Fellowship of the RANZCP.
  • Accredited as an ‘approved supervisor of trainee psychiatrists' by the RANZCP, with a high level of supervisory skill as a consultant psychiatrist.
  • Some intra and interstate travel will be required.
