About the department
The Townsville University Hospital Department of Nutrition and Dietetics provides a comprehensive dietetic service across the lifespan to support patients through their acute hospital admission, recovery following discharge or when accessing other specialist outpatient services. Dietitians work closely with medical officers, nursing, other allied health staff and food service to optimise patient recovery and well-being.

- Salary range: $64.64 - $69.55 p.h. (HP4)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

About your opportunity
- Deliver high level dietetic services (which include screening, assessment, intervention and evaluation) within the Townsville HHS and outreach areas to patients with end stage renal disease in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, with a high degree of independence and infrequent need for clinical practice supervision.
- Apply professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
- Coordinate local clinical education programs for pre-entry level students, as needed.
Requirements:
- A degree qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics from an accredited tertiary institution (or equivalent).
- The incumbent must hold a current Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) credential.
