Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, Women's and Children's Service Group, Townsville University Hospital
Townsville Hospital and Health Service are seeking a Staff Specialist to join the team within the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at the Townsville University Hospital on a Fixed Term Temporary full-time period for 12 months.. The Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and High Dependency Unit (PHDU) at The Townsville Hospital (TTH) consists of 5 beds (3 PICU, 2 PHDU – flexible, with max capacity for 6 ventilated patients) and expects over 300 cases per annum. |

- Salary range: $210,332 to $266,677 p.a. (L18-L27)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
- Attraction and retention incentive allowance (50% base salary)
- Motor vehicle allowance between $21,000 and $25,500 p.a.
- Professional development allowance of $21,500 p.a. + 3.6 weeks p.a. leave
About your opportunity
- Provide comprehensive Paediatric Intensive Care services across a wide range of pathologies and patient age within the Department of Orthopaedics
- Work within the team charter of Paediatric Intensive Care to build a collegiate team and happy workplace
- Provide support to the Director Intensive Care in leading and participating in service development activities in respect of the Orthopaedics Department within your realm of responsibility
- Provide professional leadership in respect of the Paediatric Intensive Care Department activities and in particular, your specialty team(s)
- Manage the delivery of patient care in the area of Paediatric Intensive Care including management of complex clinical situations.
Requirements:
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to commencement of clinical duties.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
