The Administration Support Officer (Workforce) will provide transactional support for recruitment and payroll services within the Medical Service Group, in the delivery of a client-focused administrative service in accordance with Townsville HHS policy and guidelines.

  • Salary range: $76,963 to $85,591 p.f. (AO3)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with ad-hoc human resource functions, recruitment and selection processes, including the day-to-day transactional processing of human resource paperwork, requests to fill, collation and dispatching of finalised human resource and recruitment paperwork, in line with Qld Health policy.
  • Monitor, respond and maintain as appropriate the workforce email account for Medical Service Group.
  • Maintain an effective office record system in conjunction with other administrative staff within the Service Group, of confidential documentation (including but not limited to Human Resources documentation) internal correspondence, personnel files and management of computerised data.
  • Manage enquiries effectively through intercepting, screening and redirecting as appropriate.
  • Provide quality services in word processing, spreadsheet development and drafting of routine correspondence.
  • Under the direction of the Executive Coordinator, Medical Service Group: provision of support, procedural advice and assistance to all client groups within MSG on all aspects of vacancy processing and recruitment services.

Requirements:

  • Effective time management skills with the ability to set priorities to achieve results in a demanding environment of high volumes and strict deadlines, and work independently as well as within a team.
  • Sound experience in general administrative duties, including data/word processing and the use of, Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc) and other information systems.
  • Knowledge of or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge, of legislation, policies and guidelines relating to recruitment and selection or other areas as necessary.
  • Advanced interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, incorporating the ability to liaise and consult with all levels of employees and management and respect relevant stakeholders confidentiality.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
