Townsville Hospital and Health Service are seeking a Principal Project Officer, Ayr Maternity Co-Design Project to join the team within Women’s and Children’s Service Group at the Townsville University Hospital on a Fixed Term Temporary basis.

The Project Officer (PO) will work to undertake consultation and co-design with Ayr community members and the Ayr Health service.

Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $5081.10 to $5516.60 p.f. (Nurse Grade 7)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

About your opportunity

  • To ensure the successful development of a co-designed maternity model of care to respond to the needs of women and families living and accessing midwifery care in Ayr.
  • This project will require specialist knowledge of midwifery models of care utilising project management methodologies.
  • The project will undertake maternity models of care redesign to optimise community input and identify options to improve access and continuity of care.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position.
  • Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
  • Driver Licence: This position requires the applicant to possess an appropriate license to operate a Class C (car) motor vehicle.
  • Travel: This position may be required to travel to (via small planes or ferry), and work at, other facilities located within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service.
  • The successful applicant must be able to commit to this requirement.
  • This is a (VPD) risk role.
