Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $132,562 to $143,924 p.a. (Nurse Grade 7)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

About your opportunity

The Nurse Educator leads and delivers advanced-level educational services that foster an evidence-based learning culture for nurses and midwives across Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS), in alignment with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) Registered Nurse Standards of Practice.

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration

  • Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
  • Nursing: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
  • Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable.
  • Travel: This position may be required to travel to (via small planes or ferry), and work at, other facilities located within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service, e.g., participate in clinical activities or meetings for planning, quality, performance and education. This may involve day and/or overnight stays. The successful applicant must be able to commit to this requirement.
