About the role

This position works in the Physiotherapy department. This identified, temporary full-time position (2 years) is based primarily at Laidley Hospital and will rotate to Gatton Hospital. It offers a supportive and culturally safe environment where you will work closely with experienced physiotherapists in a rural setting, while receiving enhanced training, development, and cultural mentoring.
The role is a fixed term temporary full-time 2 year contract!

About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Knowledge, expertise, and skill in the provision of Physiotherapy services using evidence-based practice.
- Ability to apply effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills when communicating with consumers and colleagues.
- Work effectively through active participation in teams and positively influence culture.
- Ability to participate in quality or service improvement activities within the work unit.
- Ability to manage own caseload, with supervision appropriate for experience.

Mandatory Requirements:
- Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld) it is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- The possession of a tertiary degree in Physiotherapy from a recognised tertiary institution and registration as a Physiotherapist with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (AHPRA) is a requirement for this role.
- To be eligible to apply for a new graduate position, you must have completed your first Physiotherapy university undergraduate course or graduate-entry qualification between January 2025 to January 2026.
