    At State Library of Queensland, the Collection Building and Interpretation team grows the John Oxley Library collection to ensure that Queensland's rich and diverse history is documented, preserved and accessible for future generations.

    In this role, you will drive the assessment and selection of materials for acquisition, applying specialist content knowledge to the rare materials marketplace, offers of donation, contemporary collecting opportunities and commissioning new digital content.

    If you have heritage collections experience, high-level research and communication skills and love to share your passion for Queensland history, this is an opportunity to lead acquisition projects that ensure Queensland's unique stories are collected, and the John Oxley Library's collections are diverse, representative and useable.

    Lead the stewardship of Queensland's documentary heritage and shape the future of access to knowledge, research and cultural memory across the state.

    As Executive Director, Content and a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will set strategic direction for State Library's collections and content services, driving innovation in digital collecting, discovery and access.

    You will provide high-level advice to the State Librarian and CEO, and the Library Board, influence sector leadership, and build partnerships across government, the GLAM sector and research communities.

    This is a pivotal enterprise leadership role focused on sustainable collection management, cultural stewardship and ensuring Queensland's diverse stories are preserved and accessible for current and future generations.
