   At State Library of Queensland, the Collection Building and Interpretation team grows the John Oxley Library collection to ensure that Queensland's rich and diverse history is documented, preserved and accessible for future generations.

   In this role, you will assess and select materials for acquisition, applying content knowledge to the rare materials marketplace, offers of donation, contemporary collecting opportunities and supporting the commissioning of new digital content.

   If you have heritage collections experience, high-level research and communication skills and love to share your passion for Queensland history, this is an opportunity to participate in acquisition projects that ensure Queensland's unique stories are collected, and the John Oxley Library's collections are diverse, representative and useable.

2. Program Assistant, State Library Fixed Term Temporary Part-time

   Do you enjoy working with people, feel confident managing a range of administrative tasks and are looking for a part-time opportunity? Then job-sharing the role of Program Assistant in our Schools Engagement team could be perfect for you!

   Working three days per week (Wed to Fri) through to 20 August 2027, you'll provide administrative and operational support across State Library's Schools Engagement program and be a key point of contact for teachers and school staff. You'll manage enquiries and bookings, support school visits and program logistics, and provide administrative and secretariat support across the Information Services branch.

   It's a great opportunity for someone with strong communication and organisational skills who enjoys being part of a small team and wants to support work that connects State Library of Queensland's collections with the Queensland school curriculum!
