Community Corrections is responsible for supervising adult offenders in the community. Community Corrections is divided into seven regions each with a number of district offices and reporting centres. Community Corrections staff aim to protect the community and reduce re-offending by supervising offenders in the community in which they live and encourage offenders to adopt more pro-social attitudes and behaviours.

The Principal Advisor – Privacy will manage and monitor a centralised service team responsible for the provision of policy, strategic and operational advice in respect of
QCS’s strategic priorities on information privacy to all QCS Divisions, and the investigation of privacy breaches and complaints received by the agency. The Assistant Manager, Sentence Management provides support to the Manager and contributes to the day-to-day operations of a unit whilst performing other sentence management functions as required. The position is responsible for quality assurance & governance oversight of tasks completed to ensure compliance with legislation, mandated timeframes, agency directives, procedures & policies for the lawful detention of prisoners, appropriate prisoner security classification and placement in accordance with their delegated authority. The Assistant Manager is responsible for the direct supervision of staff and will support the Manager Sentence Management in managing staff performance, training and development, as well as analysing trends and workloads to ensure adequate resource allocation within their teams. This position reports directly to the Manager, Sentence Management services.
