    Ipswich Hospital Intensive Care is a 10 bed unit with 7 beds currently operational. The unit provides general (including obstetric) Intensive Care Services for adult and adolescent patients. The unit is capable of providing long term invasive ventilation for five (5) patients and CAVHD for two (2) patients. The Department is accredited by CICM for basic and advanced (6 months) Intensive Care Trainees. West Moreton Hospital and Service occupies a variety of facilities within our region to provide healthcare to approximately 245,000 people. Significant growth projections for our region anticipate that this number is estimated to increase by 83% over the next 10 years. Our workforce comprises approximately 3,200 employees working in a diverse range of clinical and non-clinical roles that allow our Health Service to provide high quality services to meet the needs of our patients.
