As a Scientist in the Microbiology department at Princess Alexandra Hospital, you will assist in the provision of an effective and efficient pathology service to clients. This will include Molecular testing for Respiratory viruses including SARS-CoV-2 as well as routine Bacteriology and may include Serology and Mycology testing. The Scientist position is continuous shift and requires working day, evening and overnight shifts as required to provide 24-hour, 7-day service delivery. The Scientist reports to Microbiology Chief Scientist position or delegated Senior Scientist of the Microbiology department.
