The Rostering Coordination unit provides the capability and state coordination to support the Fire and Rescue rostering network, providing consistent coordination, collaboration and governance of the holistic rostering system. The team works with key stakeholders to continuously improve the design, development and implementation of best practice approaches, frameworks and guidelines for FRS Station rostering and ensures compliance with industrial instruments, legislative requirements and alignment to departments rostering framework requirements. Reporting to the Manager, you will be responsible for providing efficient and effective administrative support to meet the functions of the business unit. You will assist in the review and implementation, and coordination of procedures, work instructions, governance arrangements and training material for the statewide FRS rostering system, ensuring quality, assurance and compliance with departmental requirements i.e. the departments' writing style guide. The Capital Works team leads and facilitates the annual programming and scheduling of allocated projects and related activities to ensure delivery of the department's statewide capital, medium and minor works program. The Budget and Performance Reporting unit provides strategic budget and financial management accounting services to QFES. This includes the development of operating and capital budgets in collaboration with QFES business units, budget and performance reporting, analysis and forecasting services, budget maintenance, costing and investment analysis and assistance with funding submissions, as well as Treasury (budget) reporting activities including budget paper preparation. Psychological and Support Services (PaSS) facilitates a holistic approach to the management of the psychological, emotional and spiritual health and wellbeing of QFES members. As part of the Psychological and Support Services, the Fire and Emergency Support Services Network (FESSN) team works collaboratively with other statewide stakeholders to deliver specialised prevention and intervention services to enable a well-being focused culture and delivering positive mental health outcomes to all staff and volunteers. The Predictive Services unit is responsible for decision support capabilities as an enabler to a multi-hazard intelligence function underpinned by networked regional and state capabilities across Prevention, Preparedness, Response and Recovery (PPRR). A function of the unit is the generation of scientifically derived bushfire intelligence that is underpinned by local area knowledge. The team works closely with the scientific community, the Bureau of Meteorology, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), interstate emergency services and land management agencies to provide accurate and enabling intelligence for QFES. Reporting to the Manager, you will be a key member of the team, responsible for developing and delivering training relevant to predictive services capability. You will also be required to ensure specialist and technical training programs that are compliant with the Vocational Education and Training Framework. Facilities Management delivers a wide range of 24/7 property and facilities management services to the Kedron Emergency Services Complex. The team works closely with onsite clients and stakeholders as well as other government agencies including the Department of Energy and Public Works to strategically manage the building and plant maintenance, fit out and facilities management services across the site and provide strategic advice to ensure accommodation, maintenance and facilities services are in line with whole of government legislation and achieve value for money.
