    The position operates in a dynamic and challenging work environment and is responsible for ensuring Central Region’s complex land dealings are well managed, with effective analysis, solutions and advice. This includes addressing practical land management issues, protecting native title interests, assessing land tenure requirements for major development projects, and dealing with highly complex and sensitive administrative aspects of land dealings.

    The position leads teams located in Emerald, Longreach, Mackay and Rockhampton, and must work closely with Policy and Operational Support units located in Brisbane. The position must also work with other departmental functional groups within the region and state, and interact with other government agencies, local authorities, community groups, major clients and peak bodies in order to achieve the aim of managing land for the future.
