We are seeking a skilled leader to mitigate risks associated with fire, pest and unauthorised use of the unallocated State Land we manage. This is an operational role focussing on planning, delivering and reporting on work programs along with contractor management. Working alongside a range of stakeholders to make the region safer for the community.
This role is diverse and will enable you to have a mix of office and field-based work, generally in areas between the North Burnett to the Fraser Coast region. Live in the area with Kgari on your doorstop or the Sunshine Coast and Bunya ranges a short drive away.

At the Drill Core Facility in Mount Isa, you will form part of a dedicated warehouse team that oversees storage and access to the State Government Geoscientific Drill Core Collection. As an Operations Officer, you will be expected to accurately enter data using Queensland Government systems and provide customer service to internal and external clients to meet customer expectations. As a key member of a small warehouse team, reporting to the Drill Core Manager, you will assist in the day-to-day operation of the warehouse and core viewing areas, operating load shifting equipment including forklifts and turret trucks, manually handing core trays and cutting samples for scientific analysis.
