    An opportunity exists for an experienced Principal Accountant in Queensland Treasury's Finance Branch. The Finance Branch provides a wide range of essential financial services to the department and Whole of Government through the functions of Corporate Accounting, Corporate Operations, Budget and Performance Management, Systems Accounting and Finance Projects. Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Accounting this role contributes to the overall responsibility for the integrity of the general ledger and information uploaded to the WoG Tridata system, preparation of the department’s annual financial statements, providing advice and guidance on governance policies, including CFO Assurance obligations and coordinating and preparing answers to financial Questions on Notice. This team is also responsible for providing technical advice in relation to financial accounting and associated processes.
