The Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation is the regulator for the four Casinos in Queensland. We are seeking multiple temporary Senior Compliance Officers to support regulation of the Gold Coast Casino. We are committed to preventing and minimising gambling related harm.
Based on site at the Casino Inspectorate located in The Star Gold Coast, Broad Beach, you will contribute to minimising gambling harm to vulnerable Queenslanders through a variety of tasks including Inspection and investigations into breaches of the Casino Control Act 1982 and other legislation.
Your new role will cover a variety of shifts commencing at 6am through to 4am including weekends and public holidays (hours are subject to change with provision to move to 24/7 operations). You will receive shift workers compensation in accordance with the Appendix 9 of the State Government Entities Certified Agreement.

• Initiate the development of appropriate legal contracts with external funders to accommodate approved work conducted by or on behalf of DPI.
• Manage the business relationships between DPI and external funders and collaborators by promoting the open exchange of strategic issues and opportunities and ensuring strict compliance with government and funder guidelines in terms of funds management and performance.
• Review externally developed contracts (including conducting a risk assessment) in accordance with the responsibilities of a contract facilitator, and liaise with funders, collaborators and DPI legal to address contentious issues identified.
