About your opportunity:

Permanent full-time / Location: Townsville

The position will deliver high level ultrasound clinical services and professional leadership within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (HHS) in accordance with organisational goals.  Ensure a professional, efficient and effective diagnostic service contributes to patient-centred care, and positive outcomes for referring clinicians.

Provide education and impart specialist level knowledge to staff, patients and the public regarding the clinical and safety considerations specific to medical imaging and provide a patient focus to the performance of duties.

What's on offer:

  • Generous remuneration package value up to $152,775 p.a. comprising:
  • Salary range of $4769.69 to $5132.40 p.f. (HP4)
  • Relocation Incentives may be applicable to eligible candidates.
  • 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading.
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Mandatory: Qualifications recognised by Australian Sonographer Accredited Register (ASAR). Post Graduate Qualification in Ultrasound or an appropriate Degree or Diploma in Sonography (e.g. Diploma/Bachelor of Applied Science) from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • Accredited with Australian Sonographer's Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
  • Evidence of significant professional development activities.
  • Medical Imaging Professionals: If a Radiographer, the applicant must hold a tertiary qualification, in a Medical Imaging profession.
    • Hold current registration with MRPBA (APHRA)
    • Hold a current Queensland Radiation Use License
  • Possession of class C drivers' licence.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
