About the role
Permanent Part or Full time opportunity to provide strong leadership and work collaboratively with the team leader Intellectual Disability Service MNMH to ensure excellence in mental health service to consumers, their families, and carers in Metro North Mental Health presenting with Intellectual and neurodevelopmental disabilities.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Fulfil the accountabilities and responsibilities of this role in accordance with Metro North's purpose and objectives.
- Ensure patients and other staff are treated fairly and with mutual respect and understanding, regardless of cultural, religious, ethnic and linguistic backgrounds.
- Lead and manage staff by fostering and committing to patient safety and quality in the delivery of health care by maintaining and evaluating safety and quality practices and initiatives.
- Demonstrated evidence of acting at a leadership level and evidence of an understanding of operational and clinical leadership through effective clinical governance, education and research.
- This full-time position works routine hours per fortnight corresponding with the operational requirements of the clinical teams and service at MNMH-TPCH.
- It is expected the position provides rostered psychiatric clinical services out of business hours to MNMH-TPCH and participates on the ECT roster.
