About the role
As our Policy Officer - Economics, you will:
• Support senior members of the team with significant climate and natural capital economic analysis projects.
• Lead smaller, discrete sub-tasks or projects that contribute to the above significant economic analysis projects and support broader department work on climate policy including the ag and land sector strategy.
• Develop considered strategic economic advice on agricultural industry development-related issues and the agricultural sector more broadly.
• Conduct research and analysis into current issues, trends, opportunities and challenges.
• Develop ministerial and departmental correspondence, briefing notes and policy or issues papers as required at a high and polished standard.
• Be able to quickly develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve a timely and quality outcome, including linking to the CRC for net zero.
• Undertake other tasks and activities as directed.
You may also have
• A tertiary qualification or relevant experience in economics, data analytics and or policy is desirable.
