Senior Project Officer

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to support key tasks such as detailed desktop assessments, and oversight and detailed reports on park asset planning and data management. You will be responsible for asset focussed data and system policy development and business intelligence reporting. You will work collaboratively to set up data infrastructure and contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of databases. This includes sourcing data and ensuring its accuracy and reliability to enrich our data ecosystem. This position is responsible for providing meaningful insights from complex data sets and creating new and engaging visualisation of data.
You will undertake projects and participate in project teams within the Strategic Assets team provide support and service delivery to teams across Asset Services.

As the Senior Project Officer you will:
• Participate in a multi-disciplinary team working collaboratively and contributing to the development and delivery of strategies and systems, policies, and procedures for asset data management, and analysis while actively promoting asset management and data analytics across QPWS.
• Provide advice to QPWS staff on business systems and data management and assist with the preparation of operational procedures.
• Research and analyse information, and prepare correspondence, reports, briefings, business intelligence reports and submissions regarding the development, progress and delivery of key projects and issues relating to asset data and asset management. Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders including QPWS regions, other divisions, state and local governments, recreation and tourism industry stakeholders relating to asset management and data analytics and provide advice as required.
• Participate as a proactive member of the Strategic Assets team within Asset Services Branch.
• Assist the Unit Manager to represent QPWS in industry forums, interdepartmental and other committees.
• Foster a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First Nations people and actively engage through our work to contribute to better
outcomes for First Nations people.
