An opportunity exists for Protective Services Officers to be a part of a professional and committed Protective Services Team, provide a safe and secure environment for all staff, patients, and visitors to the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service facilities.
Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Provide comprehensive security services and assistance to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors whilst also protecting the physical assets of the SCHHS.
- Provide primary response to fire alarms and other emergencies, under direction of Chief Emergency Warden.
- Guard, watch and patrol to ensure that the facility's security integrity is maintained, keeping an accurate record of daily activities/incidents in official notebooks, security logs, etc.
- Monitor electronic surveillance and security alarm systems and respond to emergency codes and provide support for clinicians in the restraint of aggressive patients, provision of static guards, etc.
Salary between $67 462 - $70 712 p.a. (f/t), or salary rates: $34.02 - $35.66 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (OO3) (full time and/or part time positions available).
