QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government.  It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.

About the role

You will play a pivotal role in supporting QBuild's ambition to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry by developing, enhancing, and managing relationships with local customers, requiring a high level of interface and collaboration.

Duties and skills involved:

  • Develop and proactively manage customer accounts to promote QBuild with local customers and understand customers' existing agreements and assets
  • Collaborate with regional teams to deliver programs and projects within agreed customer requirements and ensure value-based outcomes are delivered
  • Maintain a customer database and accurate records of customer related information to produce reports and snapshots enabling a review by senior management when required
  • Interpret and analyse customer data to ensure visibility of future regional developments and forward plan pipeline of work, risks and issues with regional teams
  • Assess threats and opportunities based on customer information and recommend strategic options to meet customers' expectations within QBuild's program of work and available resources
  • Undertake strategic measures for continual improvement and output performance through regular feedback from customers and Program Managers
  • Be the primary point of contact for local customers for future pipeline of work and escalate programs of work or issues to regional delivery teams accordingly
  • Schedule regular account management meetings, site visits with customers and participate actively with a strategic approach in regional customer meetings
  • Represent QBuild at state-wide customer forums displaying the readiness and proactive approaches of QBuild to meet high level of customer satisfaction
  • Review and analyse aged debts that are greater than 60 days and work with the local Accounts Receivable and delivery teams on debt resolution.

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in customer relationships and accounts management.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong customer-centric focus approach towards problem identification and resolution.
